What is Wabbing?:
- recently, I thought I came across some girls who I thought may be wearing pheromones in their perfumes? It's a really strong/pungent smell and the effect only wears off if you move at least 4-5 metres away (it was headache inducing strength). I thought it was only some of the girls I was hanging out with but some girls in public have a similar effect unfortunately? Initially, I thought I needed to take some allergy tests to make some sense of what's going on but then I found out some interesting stuff?

- the animal instinct of sniffing one another's butts is starting to make more sense now to me. This issue doesn't seem to be confined to me? Other males seem to be able to sense this "aura" sometimes too? If dogs and guinea pigs have a super sensitive sense of smell it makes more sense what they do now? If they can sniff out their friends and/or foes and their state of mind it makes life so much easier. That said, I'm not certain how useful this ability may be? I'm not sure how other people would react to other people sniffing each other's butts as a welcoming gesture? Animals may be used to this but certainly not humans?

what is vabbing
AI Overview
Vabbing is a portmanteau of the words "vagina" and "dabbing". It refers to a social media trend where a person applies their own vaginal secretions to pulse points—such as the wrists, neck, or behind the ears—acting as a makeshift perfume.
Purported Purpose and Science
• Attraction via Pheromones: Proponents claim that vaginal fluids contain natural human pheromones (chemical signals) that can attract romantic or sexual partners.
• Scientific Consensus: According to biologists and medical experts, the existence of active human pheromones in the same way animals use them has not been scientifically proven.
• Placebo Effect: Any perceived increase in confidence or attention from others is widely considered by researchers to be a placebo effect or the result of heightened personal assurance rather than a chemical reaction. You can read more about the claims and breakdown via Healthline's Vabbing Guide or Wikipedia's Vabbing Entry.
Safety and Hygiene Considerations
• Infections: Introducing fingers into the vagina and transferring secretions to public or common surfaces can risk introducing or spreading bacteria.
• Underlying Conditions: Practitioners should avoid the practice if they have an untreated sexually transmitted infection (STI) or bacterial vaginosis, as it can aggravate or spread symptoms.

Random Quotes:
- Maxim Sleptsov was 42 years old and spending the summer in the Abyysky District of Yakutia, Siberia, fishing and picking berries with a friend, when a branch whipped across his face and struck his eye.
He experienced redness, tearing, itching, and pain. He rinsed his eye, removed a small piece of bark, and thought that was the end of it. What he didn’t know was that a tiny seed had become lodged in his eye.
Four months of intense headaches, increased intraocular pressure, worsening vision, and the constant feeling that something was inside followed. At another hospital, doctors couldn’t find any foreign object.
He eventually went to the Republican Ophthalmology Clinic in Yakutsk. There, doctors found a germinated seed whose root had penetrated the conjunctival tissue. They removed it and, according to the patient himself, he felt better and stopped waking up with a headache.

- Artificial intelligence promises to completely upend just about every facet of modern life, from how we work to education, medical care, and the design and manufacture of everyday goods. On a deeper level, it will also change how we see ourselves as humans, placing greater value on the uniquely human skills that no computer can replicate, no matter how powerful the server.
One person who knows a great deal about that is Jensen Huang, the president and CEO of NVIDIA, a company that designs and manufactures chips for accelerated computing and AI data centers. Fortune has named Huang one of the world’s best CEOs for his leadership and innovation.
Recently, he appeared on the A Bit Personal podcast with Jodi Shelton, who posed a big question: “Who is the smartest person you’ve ever met?”
At first, the question sounds like a softball. Of course, Huang might be expected to name someone with exceptional technical talent or a keen eye for design and engineering. He could even point to an important scientist or a tech leader, such as Steve Jobs. Instead, Huang argues that the most intelligent people today are those whose skills can’t be duplicated by AI.
“I know what people are thinking, the definition of smart is somebody who’s intelligent solves [technical] problems,” Huang responded. “But I find that’s a commodity and we’re not about to prove that artificial intelligence is able to handle that part easiest, right?”
He added that software engineers were once widely seen as the most intelligent, but AI is now challenging that idea.
“I think long term … and my personal definition of smart is someone who sits at that intersection of being technically astute but [has] human empathy,” Huang said. “And having the ability to infer the unspoken around the corners. The unknowables. People who are able to see around corners are truly, truly smart. To be able to preempt problems before they show up, just because you feel the vibe. And the vibe came from a combination of data analysis, first principle life experience, wisdom, sensing other people, that vibe. That’s smart. I think it’s gonna be the future definition of smart, and that person might actually score horribly on the SAT.”

- He forgot one thing: the kitchen was live on camera.
On the evening of September 12, a pizza shop in Hangzhou, China, was streaming its open kitchen on a food delivery app, a feature that lets customers watch their orders being made. One viewer couldn’t believe what she was seeing.
The footage appears to show a male employee taking off his work cap and rubbing his hair over a finished pizza, then making a sprinkling motion over it with the same hand. Two coworkers stood nearby and did nothing to stop him.
The viewer started recording her screen, and the clip spread across Chinese social media. Staff later reportedly said the worker had argued with the customer who ordered it and wanted to “disgust” him.
The pizza never left the kitchen. Local regulators confirmed it was destroyed and never sold.
The consequences came fast. Police placed the worker, surnamed Yang, under seven days of administrative detention for “picking quarrels and provoking trouble.” The shop was shut down for what it called rectification, and market regulators opened a formal investigation. The pizza chain called it “an individual sudden act” that “seriously violated the food safety bottom line.”
Then it reportedly ordered food safety checks at every one of its outlets.

LIFE SENTENCE AFTER STUDENT CONVICTED OF MURDERING NEWBORN BABY
Jia Xin Teo was sentenced to life imprisonment at Warwick Crown Court on 25 October 2024 after a jury unanimously convicted her of murdering her newborn daughter. The court set a 17-year minimum term, reduced by 230 days already spent in custody.
The murder happened in Coventry on 4 March 2024. Teo gave birth alone in student accommodation after concealing her pregnancy. The baby was alive after birth, but Teo killed her and concealed her body. The child was found two days later after medical examinations revealed that Teo had given birth and police became involved.
Friends, university staff and paramedics had tried to help Teo when they realised she was unwell. The sentencing judge found that she deliberately kept them from discovering the baby while the child was still alive.
The jury returned its murder verdict on 24 October. At sentencing the next day, Mrs Justice Tipples considered the evidence heard at trial and the arguments advanced on Teo's behalf.
The judge found that there had been significant planning before the birth. She also considered Teo's young age at the time of the offence, her lack of previous convictions, personal circumstances and psychiatric evidence in mitigation. That evidence formed part of the sentencing assessment; the court found that she understood her actions and their consequences.
The minimum term sets the point at which the Parole Board can first consider release, after the custody credit is applied. Release would depend on an assessment of safety and would carry a lifelong licence with the possibility of recall.
The court applied the statutory victim surcharge and made no other orders.

Why is it important to explain what a life-sentence minimum term means?

- Former West Point cadet Caleb T. Suh, in his 20s, pleaded guilty to felony assault after drugging his pregnant girlfriend with a Xanax and Promethazine-laced “special pregnancy protein powder” shake and forcing her to miscarry in 2022.
While the couple — both West Point cadets who began dating in 2020 — were at the academy, the woman wanted to keep the baby, but Suh opposed it and threatened suicide if she did not terminate. He stole her identity to order abortion pills online, then prepared the spiked shake and forced her to drink it, saying, “Eat this, it’s good for you.”
When she became drowsy and incapacitated, Suh shoved abortion pills into her vagina and mouth. She later awoke bleeding profusely, called 911, and underwent a D&C procedure after miscarrying.
Suh is awaiting sentencing in January 2027; prosecutors are seeking two years in prison.

- The Ross 308 breed, labelled the turbo chicken, is the most widespread in Danish poultry production. It grows from about 50 grams to 2kg in just 33 days. Such rapid growth can lead to problems with the animal’s bones and organs. Other chicken breeds take between 46 and 63 days to reach the same weight.
Denmark’s minister for nature and animal welfare, Christian Rabjerg Madsen, said he discouraged Danes from buying turbo chickens, telling the broadcaster: “I want to work for a national ban. But it’s clear that this is something that needs to be investigated both legally and economically.” He added: “Now we will work for a national ban, we will work for a ban at EU level.”
In response to the documentary, Tvergaard has admitted to making some wrong decisions. He told TV2: “I look inward and must admit that I have made some wrong decisions. There is no excuse for that, but I can learn from it and correct where I have not done well enough.
“And I have done that, both when it comes to the lighting programme and a number of the workflows we have in the stable, where both procedures and the roster have been tightened up.”
The proposal for the ban on turbo chickens is gaining political momentum and attracting cross-party support in Denmark. But industry figures warn that to be effective, any ban must include imported chickens as well.
Klement Hinkbรธl Ribergaard, the chief executive of chicken producer Danpo, said: “If Denmark alone bans the production of fast-growing chickens while shops, restaurants and consumers in the Danish market can continue to buy imported, fast-growing chicken of more or less questionable quality, we risk a situation in which animal welfare certainly does not benefit.”
With fast-growing breeds so prominent across the EU, it would mark a landmark shift. According to Eurogroup for Animals, 95% of chickens in the bloc are now raised in intensive systems and bred to produce the cheapest amount of meat possible, creating a “race to the bottom”.
“Fast-growing breeds are inherently predisposed to suffering, with their bodies growing so quickly they can barely stand on their legs,” said Reineke Hameleers, the advocacy group’s chief executive. “Denmark’s political willingness to stop this is an example that should be followed by the EU, for it presents the progressiveness this industry needs, one that is backed up by scientific evidence.”
Britta Riis, chief executive of Animal Protection Denmark, said turbo chickens were the result of a “deeply unethical and grotesque form of breeding” that led to “systematic abuse” and considerable suffering for the birds. The organisation is calling for all chickens to be bred for the same amount of time as organic breeds, which is 56 days.
Animal welfare has featured heavily in public debate in recent months in Denmark. The issue of pig farming dominated the last general election to such an extent that it was nicknamed the “pig election”.
The country is due to stop mink farming by August 2029 after the current government decided not to seek an EU exemption on the practice.

- If they dared, biohacking bros who seek to defy aging could try a simple, time-tested method: castration.
Removing the testicles extends male life span across many mammalian species, including humans. But a research team exploring this effect has now found the surgical procedure doesn’t have to be performed early in life to boost longevity, as scientists had assumed.
In a new preprint, the group reports that neutering older male mice lengthens their lives by more than 30%, upending prevailing ideas of how the testes influence aging.

- In 1994, a man discovered a newborn baby abandoned in a London telephone box, just two hours after she was born. He desperately wanted to adopt her but wasn't allowed to. More than 30 years later, that little girl proudly calls him Dad! ๐ฅน❤️
The extraordinary story began when Joe Campbell was walking towards a telephone box in Forest Gate, East London, to call his parents.
But as he approached, he noticed what appeared to be a discarded bundle lying on the ground.
When he looked closer, he made a heartbreaking discovery!
Inside was a tiny newborn baby girl, just two hours old, with her umbilical cord still attached.
Joe immediately contacted the emergency services, and the little girl was taken to hospital.
But something about that moment changed his life forever!
He felt an immediate connection with the baby and even gave her the name April, after the month in which he'd found her.
Joe wanted to adopt her himself, but was reportedly told he couldn't because he wasn't married.
Instead, April was adopted by another family.
But Joe never forgot her!
For years, he sent birthday cards, presents and money through social services, hoping that one day she would know how much he cared.
Eventually, he was told to stop contacting her.
And for more than two decades, the little girl he had rescued remained in his thoughts.
But then something extraordinary happened!
In 2016, April, now 22 years old, launched a public appeal to find the stranger who had saved her life.
Within 24 hours, Joe came forward!
And after 22 years apart, the two were finally reunited.
But perhaps the most beautiful part is what happened next.
Their relationship grew so close that April now considers Joe her father, while his children have welcomed her as their sister!
In 2026, April even launched a fundraising campaign to help Joe retire early after learning he was struggling with health problems.
The man who once saved her life had become someone she wanted to look after in return.
It's a beautiful reminder that family isn't always defined by blood, but sometimes by the extraordinary love and kindness of someone who chooses to care. ❤️

He was told he would be released in a few minutes. The door did not open for five days. When they finally found him, he was close to death.
In April 2012, Daniel Chong, a 23-year-old engineering student at the University of California, San Diego, was at a friend's house when DEA agents raided the property. He was detained along with several others, questioned, and told he would not be charged. He was then placed in a holding cell to wait for what he was told would be a few minutes.
The door did not open for five days.
The cell was 5 by 10 feet, windowless, with thick concrete walls. Chong was handcuffed behind his back. He had no food, no water, and no toilet. He screamed, kicked the door, and tried to set off the fire sprinkler. No one came.
By the third day, he was hallucinating. He drank his own urine to survive. He found methamphetamine in the cell and ingested it. He broke his glasses and used a shard to try to carve a message into his arm for his mother. He only managed to finish an S.
On April 25, an agent finally opened the door. Chong was covered in his own feces, severely dehydrated, and close to kidney failure. He spent five days in the hospital. He had lost 15 pounds.
A Justice Department investigation later found that four DEA employees had seen or heard Chong but assumed someone else was responsible for him. The report also exposed systemic failures: no tracking system for detainees, no cameras in holding cells, and no policy requiring daily checks.
The DEA issued a rare public apology. In July 2013, the federal government agreed to pay Chong $4.1 million to settle his claim. The agency implemented nationwide policy changes, including daily inspections and cameras in cells.
Chong returned to UC San Diego, changed his major from engineering to economics, and said he wanted to finish school and buy his parents a house.

- Old cells, made young again, in under a week. Harvard pulled it off with chemicals alone.
A team at Harvard Medical School led by David Sinclair identified six chemical cocktails that reset aging human cells to a younger state.
Until now, rewinding a cell’s age took gene therapy, which is costly and hard to roll out widely. These cocktails skipped the genetic route entirely. The cells also kept their identity, so they got younger without turning into something else.
The findings were published in the journal Aging in July 2023.
Sinclair says the best science could do before was slow aging. Now he believes we can reverse it, and maybe one day with a single pill.

Despite weighing 40 tons and being the size of a school bus, the humpback whale can roll and bank in tighter underwater circles than almost any other large marine animal.
Biomechanics researchers Dr. Frank Fish and Stephen Dewar discovered the secret lies in the row of large, irregular bumps — called “tubercles” — lining the front leading edge of the whale’s 16-foot pectoral flippers.
When tested in naval wind tunnels by Canadian engineering company WhalePower, those leading-edge bumps defied conventional aerodynamic wisdom.
Instead of disrupting airflow, the scalloped bumps channel wind through the troughs into pairs of tight, counter-rotating micro-vortices that keep air glued to the back of the wing at steep 40% higher angles without stalling.
Applied to wind turbine rotors, industrial ventilation fans, and aircraft wings, the biomimetic tubercle edge cuts drag by up to 32%, quietens blade noise, and allows wind turbines to capture 20% more electricity in gusty or slow winds.

- A 74-year-old blind man made a shocking offer in court: he would accept life in prison in exchange for one special meal! ๐ฒ๐
Robert Kessler, who was facing trial over the 2021 death of Stephanie Crone-Overholt, made the unusual request during jury selection in October 2026.
He offered to plead guilty and spend the rest of his life behind bars if he received a Philly cheesesteak with onions and mayonnaise, French fries, and a 20-ounce Pepsi.
Kessler argued that his offer would also save taxpayers money by avoiding a lengthy trial.
However, Judge Nick Nazaretian rejected the proposal, explaining that the court could not use food as a reward for pleading guilty.
After the judge refused, Kessler withdrew his offer and asked for the trial to continue.
His unusual request quickly caught people's attention online. Many were surprised that someone facing life in prison would make such a specific demand.
However, behind this strange courtroom moment is a serious case involving a woman's death and a family seeking justice. ๐

What do you think should happen when a government agency makes a mistake that nearly kills an innocent person?
